Rancho Resort is a gated, age-qualified community of roughly 370 single-family homes inside the Rancho Sahuarita master plan, west of Interstate 19 and north of Sahuarita Road in the Town of Sahuarita. It was built out in three neighborhoods across about two decades: Hamco Homes developed The Courtyards and Madera Village beginning in 1999, Del Webb built Las Brisas in the mid-2000s, and construction across the three ran through 2018. The housing is uniformly single-level and low-maintenance — two- and three-bedroom plans behind stucco exteriors with walled rear yards and attached garages — and the Del Webb plans at Las Brisas run roughly 1,000 to 2,000 square feet with two-car garages. Two large copper operations anchor employment within a short commute — Asarco's Mission Complex in Sahuarita and Freeport-McMoRan's Sierrita mine off the west side of I-19 near Green Valley, each a 1,000-plus-employee complex — while Interstate 19 runs a straight shot roughly 23 miles north to downtown Tucson, about a 30-minute drive, and reaches Tucson International Airport in less. Homes have historically traded from about $160,000 to $360,000. Dues are set at the association level rather than published community-wide, so confirm the current assessment, the recorded age restriction under the federal Housing for Older Persons Act, and the CC&Rs on a specific parcel before writing an offer.
