About Saguaro Miraflores

Saguaro Miraflores is a west-side Tucson neighborhood of houses of about 197 acres in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains, bounded by West Ironwood Hill Drive on the north and North Painted Hills Road on the west; its east and south edges follow lot lines rather than streets. It is seven house plats laid out over four decades: Glenn Point Estates and Miraflores Estates, which Pima County's plat layer dates to 1957 and 1958, Westridge Estates of 1960, Saguaro West Estates of 1972, the three Miraflores Estates No. 2 plats and Miraflores Foothills Estates of 1977 to 1979, and Painted Hills Ranch of 1999. Saguaro West Estates and Miraflores Estates are the largest. The county roll carries 290 single-family parcels inside at a median of about 0.39 acre, every one of them zoned RX-2. The City's registered Saguaro Miraflores neighborhood association covers all of it but the Westridge Estates lots and five others, all along its southern edges, which are in no registered association, and it is in Ward 1. The county's annexation layer places every house parcel under a 1992 City of Tucson ordinance.
