About McIntyre

McIntyre is a small central Tucson neighborhood of houses of about 21 acres, bounded by East 5th Street on the north, North Belvedere Avenue on the east, East 3rd Street on the south and North Catalina Avenue on the west. Nearly all of it is the two McIntyre-Richey plats, which Pima County's plat layer dates to June 1928 and May 1930, with an edge of the 1922 Perrine Addition. The county roll carries 63 single-family parcels inside at a median of about 0.16 acre, nearly all zoned R-1, beside eight multi-unit parcels and commercial lots. The City's registered Midway Village neighborhood association covers all of it, and it is in Ward 6. The county's annexation layer places all of it under a 1956 City of Tucson ordinance. Poets Square, across 3rd Street to the south, has its own page here; Perrine lies to the north, Montrose to the east and Sahuaro Hill to the west.
